In addition to your insight about the lack of video surveillance, I would add that it is extraordinary that the Israelis have still not stated exactly how many people were involved in the attack. A forensic team would be able to state this, from examination of the scene. We are told that it was “several” Palestinian terrorists.

Along with the mystery of how they may have entered the settlement, there is the timeline of events, and the oddity that they left the house locked from the inside. How … why. And why were two of the children left untouched?

This last detail, is typical of a murder suicide. The deranged perp in such cases often blames some, but not all, of their family.

This crime also closely resembles the Oshrenko murder – especially in the killing of the baby and toddler. The Oshrenko murder is still the worst family slaying in Israel – 6 died – but no one makes a fuss about it, or sends a protest to the United Nations about the ‘bestial slaughter of an Israeli family.’

Incidentally, the accused in the case of hte Oshrenko murder does deny his guilt. Well, criminals often do – but still – this very similar crime does make one wonder if the true killer is still at large.
