Profanity laced anti-Obama diatribes by American and Israeli Jews send shockwaves across the left.

CofCC.org News Team

CofCC.org has been accurately predicting two growing divides in the Democratic party. The first is hostility between blacks and Hispanics. The second is hostility between Jews and other democrats who are either pro-Arab/Muslim, anti-Israel, or a combination of the two.

The issue has exploded over the past few days. Extreme left-winger Max Blumenthal, himself Jewish, went to Israel to gauge opinions of Obama by the Israelis.

Blumenthal is one of the few leftists who actually believes his own hype. For many Jews on the left, diversity, multiculturalism, and gun control are a necessity for Americans, but anathema for right-wing Israel. Blumenthal feels that Jews should advocate the same suicidal leftists politics for Israel that they advocate for America. The same policy is being adopted by many non-Jewish Democratic party activists who have targeted Israel as the next “Apartheid” to rally against.

Remember that according to exit polls, as many as 80% of American Jews voted for Obama. Blumenthal interviews Israeli Jews who denounce Obama as a Muslim and say he has already betrayed Israel.

The explosive part happens when Blumenthal enters some Israeli bars full of college aged American Jewish tourists. When asked about their opinion of Obama, the mostly American crowd denounces Obama with profanities, racial slurs, sexually explicit comments, and at least one death threat. The video was recorded on June 3rd, 2009.

One individual yells, “white power, F$%^ N%&&@#s” to the cheers of his friends, some of whom are wearing yarmulkes. One girl denounces Obama as a Muslim and non-US citizen.

One person claims to have worked for the Obama campaign, but now speaks of Obama with a string of profanities.

The video is spreading like wildfire among the anti-Israel/anti-Zionist and/or pro-Muslim segment of the left-wing online. Apparently a major US gangster rap star known as “50 cent” even posted the video on his own personal website. Blumenthal himself claims that over 100,000 people have watched the video in the past two days.

Warning: This video contains profanities and language inappropriate for children.

Why Israel is not a Jewish state:

In his Cairo speech, notice that Obama never said "Jewish state", only "aspiration to a Jewish homeland". Israel is not "a" or "the" Jewish state in the sense that it does not belong to Jews or Judaism. Israel belongs to its citizens(20% of whom are non-Jewish Arabs)! Now, Israel can define itself any way it wants, but Israel can't expect the world to view Israel as anything but a state belonging to its citizens, the same way any other state is viewed, especially supposed democracies. Therefore the demand by Netanyahu that Hamas recognize Israel as a Jewish state is absurd on its face. 20% of Israelis are Arabs, and such a definition would disenfranchise them. It would be like saying the US is a a Christian state.

Human rights and self determination are individual rights(notice that people vote individually and they own property individually or at most as couples, not as part of their religion or race, and default private property inheritance is by blood ties, not by religion). Iran does not belong to Persians, Italy does not belong to Etruscans or Catholics or Italian-language-speakers, the US does not belong to Christians, etc, etc. While Italy belongs to "Italians", that simply means it belongs to all its citizens. Saying Israel belongs to Jews is different from saying Israel belongs to Israeli citizens, as it disenfranchises Israel's non-Jewish citizens.

Self determination only makes sense when defined by geographic contiguity. Self determination by religion, race, ethnicity, or favorite hobbies for that matter, would lead to the fractal-ization and bantustan-ization of the map of the world. Borders would constantly have to be redefined as people changed religions or intermarried across ethnicities and races. The Kurds for example don't have a right to state. But the Kurds in Turkey have the right to Turkish citizenship and the Kurds In Iraq to Iraqi citizenship and those in Iran to Iranian citizenship. People have the right to stay in their homes, cities, towns and villages and be full citizens in whatever state claims their town or village as part of it. These human rights supersede any nationalistic aspirations groups may have.

If Israel wants to keep the West Bank, it has to extend citizenship to all West Bank residents. Israel cannot keep the West Bank in an eternal state of occupation or bantustan-ization. It's already been 40 years. Conquered land comes with the people on it. It's a package deal: can't keep one without the other. And keeping land requires extending citizenship to the residents of that land. Israel has to annex the West Bank whole it or get out, and certainly it's wrong and illegal for Israel to have built and continue to build more settlements in a place where it has not extended citizenship to all residents already there at the time Israel gained possession(1967). The West Bank map now looks qualitatively just like apartheid South Africa: it looks like "Swiss cheese"(George W. Bush's words by the way: "the Palestinian state is one of contiguous territory. In other words, as I said earlier in my administration, I said, Swiss cheese isn't going to work when it comes to the outline of a state". ) The effect, if not the intent, of settlement construction in the West Bank, is apartheid.
