Matt: Nowhere did I say racism amongst American Jews was endemic.

The reason it is fair for Fox News and many others to showcase Muslim hate speech is because, unfortunately, many of these opinions are mainstream in the Muslim world. Holocaust denial is mainstream. Classification of suicide attacks on Israeli Jews as legitimate resistance is not only mainstream; it is the view of most Middle Eastern Muslims.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with Jews being white; that’s ridiculous. Jews are white and black and brown in the US and in Israel.

Look, it’s obvious that hateful anti-Semitism is a reality and that Jewish people are always in danger of being scapegoated. So, there are, of course, the usual suspects pouncing on this video to spout hate.

However, I think there are some reasonable people that take interest for other reasons that I will describe here. First, it is clear that American Jewry is VERY overrepresented (relative to population) in key positions in finance, media, and government. Naturally, people like me are concerned about the conduct of any and all people that influence our economic system, news, and policies.

Some people, including me, perceive a little clan’ishness and a lot of nepotism among the Jewish people. Some people, again including me, feel strongly not that “Jews control the media”, but that the influence is excessive and distorts our news. Bluntly, we think Jewish people and the state of Israel get special treatment in the American media.

So, when the “fluffy” image of American Jewry and the state of Israel is chronically projected in the media and when we constantly see people like Abe Foxman assuming the moral high ground, we take interest in videos like this not because we hate Jews but because we relish honesty. I know that Jews and the state of Israel have fuc#ed up problems like everyone else; so, it’s nice to see some reality instead of just the usual public relations garbage that treats fellow Americans like children.

there are actually two (seemingly jewish) people in the video who are not talking in a racist way about obama.

the haters probably went crazy because it was the night of the speech and they were scared what obama’s speech exactly meant for israel. altough they are (judging by accent) americans.

That is “very nice” of you to cast Palestinians as a group amongst crazy wingnuts, white power supermacists, KKK and Al Qaeda sympathizers. It speaks volume about your opinions and biases! And it is clear sign that there is no point in trying to discuss with you and in adressing your delusional points.
