Your whole concept was dead-on, but you didn’t need to insert any commentary.
    The video speaks for itself.

That was hilarious! “Yeah, I support the war, but I can’t
fight over there because of medical reasons. I have Chronic
    Chickenshit Syndrome.”

Enterik, there would have been no need for “self-appointed bouncers” if a certain moron wasn’t making an a## of himself at their conference. You and your like-minded liberal friends intimate that you guys don’t take yourself as serious as conservatives and like to have fun. Following this line of reasoning, do you really think that at a Hillary Clinton rally that the attendees would allow some jackass with a camera to ask “simple” questions that he will later bend to his own agenda and do stupid karate kid moves? I don’t think, no KNOW, they wouldn’t. Get real.

JOHN: Enterik, there would have been no need for “self-appointed bouncers” if a certain moron wasn’t making an a## of himself at their conference.

ENTERIK: Don’t be so hard on Tom DeLay, yes his notion of blaming abortions for illegal employers law breaking is cutting edge conservative thought, but surely the College Republicans are not be embarassed by their leaders?

JOHN: You and your like-minded liberal friends intimate that you guys don’t take yourself as serious as conservatives and like to have fun.

ENTERIK: You got me. I like to have fun. It’s true. I also take progressive politics seriously. When the two come together, there is humor that makes a point. This is why so many people like Max’s Generation Chickenhawk video.

JOHN: Following this line of reasoning, do you really think that at a Hillary Clinton rally that the attendees would allow some jackass with a camera to ask “simple” questions that he will later bend to his own agenda and do stupid karate kid moves?

ENTERIK: You aren’t seriously comparing the College Republicans National Convention (CRNC) to a major presidential candidate? Look at the video again. The College Republican behavior you are trying to excuse is nothing like you make it out to be. Much of the footage is within the lobby of the hotel which is pretty much a public place. When the self-appointed bouncers show-up it is not because Max is making a disturbance but because “We can’t have you filming Tom DeLay”(07:41), that can’t have been the real reason.

In his next video Max interviews DeLay about his personal end-times beliefs with simple and polite questions. Max also asked Hagee about end-times religion and politics, politely, without a fuss, as part of a question and answer forum. What is different about these future Republican leaders is that they don’t know how to handle embarassing revelations of their true beliefs. They overreacted inappropriately making them look even more like they had something to hide under a bushel. Events like CRNC and CUFI are newsworthy and Max is a member of the press, he’s not crashing a skull and bones initiation ritual.

JOHN: I don’t think, no KNOW, they wouldn’t. Get real.

ENTERIK: Being real is defending the ideas you call your own, in public. The College Republicans gave honest, simple answers to politely asked simple questions. The simple truth is that these future republican leaders have no plans to serve in the occupation they support with regurgitated talking points. This looks a lot like the current warmongering Republican leaders did during the Vietnam era. The same Republican leaders who betray the trust of our troops by sending them into an ill-conceived war and deadly occupation. I know what I think of this kind of hypocracy.

“This looks a lot like the current warmongering Republican leaders did during the Vietnam era.” Number one, the armed forces now are voluntary, so any comparison to that era is apples and oranges. Second, it wasn’t Republican leaders that got us into Vietnam, but your cherished “god” JFK. Nice try….you are still just trying to pin Vietnam on the Republicans….revisionist history and, yes, “regurgitated talking points.” So much for your free thinking big guy.

ENTERIK: “This looks a lot like the current warmongering Republican leaders did during the Vietnam era.”

JOHN: Number one, the armed forces now are voluntary, so any comparison to that era is apples and oranges.

ENTERIK: Yes John, it is like comparing rotten apples and rotten oranges. I will agree that the Vietnam-era draft puts our warmongering Republican leaders in worse a light than the crop of College Republicans attending this cannonball sunday National Convention. Members of the Bush Administration had to work hard to avoid military service. Their actions clearly showed that they thought war should be fought by someone else. Today’s up and coming Republican Chickenhawk can voluntarily avoid enlistment just by saying, “I’d rather not”.

JOHN: Second, it wasn’t Republican leaders that got us into Vietnam, but your cherished “god” JFK.

ENTERIK: I know you want to change the subject so we can reargue the Vietnam War. I know you are more comfortable with that topic and not the one I am talking about. I am talking about the personal hypocracy of Republican warmongering leaders. Vice-President Dick Cheney was of military age and supporter of the Vietnam war. Dick worked very hard to avoid enlisting. Later in life he became a public official who sends other peoples kids to the same type of war he wouldn’t fight in himself. Today’s young Republicans are on the same career path, casually avoiding the quagmire-like occupation of Iraq while cheering for it. Is there any doubt that they will act a lot like Cheney if they are ever given a position of power?

JOHN: Nice try….you are still just trying to pin Vietnam on the Republicans….revisionist history and, yes, “regurgitated talking points.” So much for your free thinking big guy.

ENTERIK: You got it all wrong. I’m trying to pin Republican leader’s personal hypocracy on their sleeves. This has nothing to do with the Vietnam war, except that our ruling warmongers dodged that war as they publicly supported it. Their behavior in the Vietnam era and the college republican behavior now during the occuption of iraq is so similar that the comparison seems obvious.

I applaud Max for lifting the bushel off that College Republican little light so that it can shine shine shine. The Generation Chickenhawk video is like the ugly lights at last call. I suspect quite a few otherwise sensible people will be shocked to see the true face of the political idealogy they have been making out with in the dark.

You guys are all freakin dumb. I’m sorry that our parents taught us well to attend college instead of joining the military.

No change from the past! It’s easier to talk than it is to serve. In a way it’s sad
to see the lack of talent and concern from the next generation of Neo-Cons.
Many believe that a draft based on economic status, those who have serve first,
would go a long way to keep America out of wars. Especially oil wars.

  9. John

You accuse me of trying to change the argument to REargue the Vietnam war. You brought that up. In addition, you don’t have any specific argument. You just spout opinions with “facts” as you see fit. I applaud your vocabulary and your use of grammar. You are obbvioulsy a very educated individual. However, your smug “I’m so smart, all conservatives are a joke” attiutude is wearing and very frightening. Lastly, you’re now calling the karate-kid move an “interpretive dance”? I itnk you need to review the video again.
